Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the 60 miles of Township roads. They plow snow and spread salt and cinders, patch potholes, clean the ditches, mow and cut brush along the sides of roadway, as well as maintain both Township buildings and equipment. Each year several miles of Township roads are oiled and chipped. Our State Liquid fuels allocation helps to pay for this project. Also, each year a section of road is chosen by the Board of Supervisors for reconstruction; the existing cartway is overlayed with 3 1/2 inches of blacktop. Over the last several years, a number of roads have been reconstructed in this fashion.
Bedminster Township has a Recycling Center located at the Township Garage, 9 Creek Road. (Corner of Kellers Church and Creek roads). The Center is open 24 hours a day and accepts the following;
Glass – clear,green and brown
Aluminum Cans
